Hi everyone! My name is Rachel Cable and I am the owner of Cable Cookies. 

I  first fell in love with videos of other bakers decorating cookies. As an anxious girlie, it was a way for me to escape and feel calm. Throughout my life, I always wished I had a hobby. I tried many different things but they all felt forced - it felt like I was doing it just to do it.

I decided to take the leap and try to decorate cookies myself as I always said "I wish I could do that", so why not try, right? I opened Cable Cookies in December of 2023 and have been a self-taught baker since then! I have branched out to cake pops, cakesicles, drop cookies, and hand dipped chocolate treats as well! There are so many reasons why I love doing doing this. I get to provide sweet treats for so many memorable events such as weddings, bridal showers, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, baby showers, and more! I also get to be creative in so many unique and fun themes all the time!

A little about myself, I am orginally from New Jersey and moved to Morgantown, WV in 2013 to attend WVU. I worked in the public school system for close to 10 years as a teacher and school counselor. Currently, I work at WVU as a Career Development Specialist. I got married to Mr. Cable Cookies in July of 2023. We have two corgis, Dunkin & Savannah who I am OVERLY obssessed with. In my free time outside of work + Cable Cookies, I enjoy reading, napping, watching tv / sports, and being as cozy as possible!
